Is Gulf Wax Household Paraffin wax the same paraffin to use in cooking?

I have a peanut butter chocolate ball recipe that calls for a bar of parrifin. My husband could only find “Household Parrifin Wax” made by “Gulf Wax” in the canning section of our local supermarket. Is this the same thing??

      Yup, grandma uses it to make buckeyes and it turns out fine. Paraffin is paraffin.
