How much longer will the American people allow the war in Iraq to go on?

The claim that the Iraq war has anything to do with terrorist attacks is wearing thin, as we see what happened in Iraq yesterday.(220 Iraqi people killed)

Saddam was a strong opponent of Muslim religious fanaticism, and a barrier to Osama. Now Saddam is history. The latest reason claimed to justify the Bush war is that we have an obligation to set up a democratic state in Iraq. How much longer will the American people buy this? Will Bush need to invent a new justification to keep his war going until he leaves office? The American troops are dying for nothing. How much longer will the American people put up with our men/women dying?

I think that people that are all for Bush are willing to do anything to keep the war going on. Bush wants it to be going on, so all of his moron followers do as well. Maybe when one of their loved ones dies over there then they will want it to stop.

Wars are good there are too many people on this planet. If everyone is healthy we are all going to die due to overpopulation. Is that really what the peace activists want?

If we pull out, and the islamic terrorists attack us on American soil, (like they have said they want to do, and have done, and have said they want to do in the UK, and have done so), will you change your tune and be howling for revenge? And will you remember that you lost your stomach for this fight this time around?

The war against terrorism will go on for a long time - 10, 20 years at least. It won’t end until the countries that sponsor it get brought forward out of third world status. Their lives have to be better for them in a peaceful environment, than it is in a wartime one. That means education, commerce, and a strong economy (or at least a stronger one than they have now).

That may happen under their current system of government if we leave them alone. The only problem is that it’s never happened before in a totalitarian regime. Despots tend to improve their lives, and line their friends pockets, at the expense of the populace.

The current war may not be the best way to accomplish this goal. But if you’ve got a better suggestion, everyone is listening.
