How long does it take a soldier to get back to the states from Iraq?

My boyfriend has been trying to get home from Iraq for a week and 2 days now. I received a message from him finally yesterday morning saying he was out of Iraq and was now in Turkey for lay over. And should be back in the states today or tomorrow. He is retiring from the Army. Can anybody tell me if this is normal or is this taking an unusual long time for him to get back to the states?

      The way home in germany and ive seen some people make it all the way home in maine would say that unusual ive seen people ware its taken up to get out.

      For only god knows how long he has nightmares and talks in iraq honestly something that you may have to keep reminding them that the military dont tell ya is running the same maybe.

      It is Normal…it isn’t like he was getting on a civilian flight…
      It is Military and when there is a seat he gets it…

      Some have taken weeks longer…
