Neither of these three countries are in the middle east. True, they can sometimes be associated with the middle east, but that does NOT mean they are in it.       Take it easy. People (especially Americans) usually don’t know about these countries. If they can make a claim about these countries, be it true or semi-true, they will be better than most in this area.
      Middle East, by itself, is a Eurocentric word, and it contains xenophobia. UN uses Western Asia.
