The war is not illegal. Yes, innocent people die. It’s war, not playtime in the park. I think it’s fair to say that the US has done a better job of any country in history in limiting collateral damage.
The soldiers are not doing anything illegal or immoral and thus have no reason to challenge their orders.
So no, I don’t support this idea.
