Before the Jessica Lynch incident in Iraq, did the US goverment deny having women in Iraq?
Monday, September 13th, 2010In other words, did the government try to deny the fact that servicewomen are being engaged in combat in Iraq? Did they try to glorify Jessica Lynch’s rescue and cover it up at the same time?
I suspect they’re still trying to deny that women are still being engaged, even though they’re not officially supposed to.

What types of animals live in the Gulf Stream?
Sunday, September 12th, 2010I’m doing a project on the Gulf Stream and need to include some animals that live in the Gulf Stream. I can’t seem to find what I need by searching, so if anyone can find a website or just post some animal names, that would be very helpful.

What is the best city on the gulf coast of Florida to move to?
Friday, September 10th, 2010I am a 24 year old male looking to relocate from Chicago to Florida. I’m looking to move on the gulf coast and want to move somewhere that is affordable (I’ll be renting), has night life to offer, somewhat near the beach, and has decent employment opportunities. Lament for Iraq
Thursday, September 9th, 2010
Slide show and original music dedicated to the people of Iraq. The chord changes for this tune I had in my head for over a year and when I played it on guitar I kept thinking of Iraq and the suffering of the people over there. A picture paints a thousand words. The tune took 3 days to record. For daily news on Iraq visit here. warnewstoday.blogspot.com

Iraq hit by fresh wave of attacks
Saturday, September 4th, 2010
With no clear winner from last month’s elections in Iraq, the country has been left in political limbo. And as politicians jockey to form a government, there are increasing fears that a lingering political vacuum could lead to a surge in violence. In the last 24 hours, there were three separate attacks in and around the capital - the deadliest of which was a gruesome reminder of past sectarian violence and executions. The two smaller attacks occurred inside Baghdad itself, with four mortars landing in the heavily fortified green zone. So far, there are no reports of casualties there. The second attack occurred in the Saydiyah neighbourhood where a bomb blast killed two people and injured another. But the deadliest attack happened in the predominantly Sunni district of al-Rasheed, just south of Baghdad. Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Baghdad.
