Born-Again Libertarian asked: My theater group is having a performance soon, so I think I could get a lot of people to donate something to a care package to send to some troops in Iraq. I know the rules for what you can send and how you can send it, but I don’t know how to get it to someone.
Is there a way to send it to a particular unit if you don’t have a family member whose unit you could send it to? Or team or squad, not sure about the terms.
For the package I was thinking we could put in some stuff to make life a little easier and let them know we care. Letters from the cast to the troops, maybe some written prayers, decks of cards, some time-passing books, Oreos, stuff like that. The prayers might not be that smart -don’t want to offend someone- but the rest seems like a good idea.
Was anyone stationed over there recently? Was there anything you specifically really would have liked?
