Team Building, Middle East Practices

John Jlenn asked:

Being a team leader sounds so much fun and even challenging. It is such a prestigious position. But it even has a disadvantage that constantly there will be your manager or your senior manager who will be staring at you and interfering with you work all the time. You will also have to deal with unique people  who are from different backgrounds. Some people who do not understand things quickly, the team leader will have to patiently make him understand what work is to be done and sometimes explain how and when it should be done.

Team building, Middle East companies gives utmost importance to teams as it is team building which brings out efficient team leaders and managers. There are many things which you can work on to become a good team leader.

The most important points are listed below

In team building, Middle East companies need to know if you are going to lead a team you need have a full idea and complete awareness of the consequences that will occur in leading a team. It is not only your faults that you have to identify and correct but also your team members fault. You should know in advance the goals to accomplish and also make sure that the team members are aware of their goals.

Team building, Middle East companies usually have two teams. One team takes up all the ideas, plans, working methods, how to execute them, how long will it take to accomplish them etc. the other team will put the plans of paper to practice. To be a better team leader one should involve more people so that both the teams can bring out proper and quicker results.

In Team building, Middle East companies have effective decision making process because hindrances and misunderstandings occur when only one person takes decision from the same team as everyone will not agree to everything explained and put forward by him.

It is very important to not leave out on the deficiencies of the organization like skills, resources and raw materials. Deficiencies should be first dealt with and proper substitutes should be available before time and hand. To be a good team leader it is more important to tackle the deficiencies first. They should not be left out hoping that they will be somehow covered in the end.

If you see any member not able to accomplish his task or if he is having some kind of problem as a new comer or first-timer in a particular project then feel to talk ti him about the issue and ask him if he needs more help. This will develop a pleasant work atmosphere and develop the relationship among team members as well.

Team building, Middle East companies give due importance to team effort. If a task is performed before time and executed perfectly then it should be checked that the particular team is appraised and the team effort is recognized.

don’t just be a leader be a team leader. You yourself should feel proud of yourself and the way you manage you team.

What’s the difference between Iraq and Darfur?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010
iraq
five kids down asked:

I’ve heard (for a few years now) that we should be going to Darfur to intervene and stop the genocide. Should I mention that its not the so-called warhawk neocons that keep mentioning this to me, it seems like its mostly the anit-Iraq war liberals that want this. What I want to know is why we should go there, when we’re already in a war that ended genocide, and the same people that cry about how bad Iraq is are the same people that want to intervene with Darfur?

Also, the two biggest reasons I’ve heard about why we should send troops to Darfur is
1) Stop the genocide (Like Saddam pulled against the Kurds?)
2) China’s getting their oil (that sounds familiar)

So what’s the difference between an unpopular actual war and this popular proposal of war? To me this seems like hypocrisy, but there HAS to be a good explanation somewhere… please tell me!

cammy asked:

What mainly caused the wars in the Middle East? I am not necessarily speaking about the third Gulf War presently. I am talking about all of it since when it started to become big long ago. What lead to so much hate between one another’s groups in the Middle East and why did it extend this far to the United States? I have a good understanding of it, but I want to know from many intellectuals point of view. Thanks!
