Sure, the reasoning for war in Iraq was “embellished” quite a bit by Dick Cheney and Mr. Bush. But the fact remains that Iran, which fosters and supports Al Qaida and other groups, wants to wipe out western civilization. We needed a theatre of operations in the mideast (other than Afghanistan) to stifle further attacks on US soil and to put direct pressure on Iran. The Iraq war has accomplished this. Now how do we proceed?
